State Proposed 354% fee increase
The State Water Resource Control Board will be reviewing the fees paid by discharges at their meeting on Monday September 19, 2011 at 9 am. The Board is considering the fee increase because the state legislature removed all general fund support for the Water Boards thus making them a totally fee based supported government agency. Currently of your dues you pay the Coalition, the State collects 12 cents per acre. This proposed increase will raise that amount to 56 cents per acre. The Coalition cannot absorb this increase, thus the dues for the Coalition will increase appropriately. The following is a link to the State Board's website that discribes the increase.

Please attend the meeting to express your concerns of this dramatic increase in State fees.
